Teapot Tales Volume 3 is now available!

I have some exciting news to share. Volume 3 of Teapot Tales is now live on Amazon!

For those who are new here, Teapot Tales is the annual anthology of the Chapter Book Challenge. Every year, a group of children’s authors get together, write short stories on a theme, and we release an anthology. This year, the theme was Fractured Fairy Tales.

I have two stories in this edition. The Girl of Legend is a version of Sleeping Beauty, and I have a version of The Three Little Pigs. Overall, there is a mix of fractured fairy tales and some new ones.

Very soon I will have copies in my online store if you want to purchase a copy, but in the mean time, you can get your copy direct from Amazon with the links below:

Watch this space and I’ll let you know when I have copies available.

Talk Like a Pirate Day – and a giveaway

Talk like a pirate

Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. It’s the day we do things like change our Facebook language from English to Pirate English (do it, it’s fun!), and say “Argh” and “You scurvy dogs” and other similar terms. That’s if we remember.

If you missed the news, the second Teapot Tales is now out and the theme this year is Pirates, Mermaids and Creatures of the Sea, what better day to have a competition to promote it?

This anthology has 26 stories from 17 authors around the World, each is unique and is sure to delight. They are all short enough to enjoy with a cup of tea, and make wonderful bedtime stories – although be warned, one story soon turns into six… [Read more…]

In other news… Teapot Tales 2 is now available

Teapot Tales 2 – now available

I know most of my posts lately have been to do with Swallow Me, NOW! and my crowdfunding campaign. That is not the only thing that’s been going on lately.

If you’re new to reading my blog, about this time last year, I had my first stories published in an anthology called Teapot Tales: A Collection of Unique Fairy Tales. As you can see, I was a little bit excited. Since then, I’ve had stories published in two more anthologies, and you can see all the details here. [Read more…]

Reading flash fiction

Reading Flash Fiction – on a plane

Last week, the boys and I went on holiday to the Gold Coast. This involved flying on three planes as well as time waiting at airports. On Sunday 29th September, Mr Z and I went to the airport to pick up Mr N who was joining us after he played Auskick at the AFL Grand Final the day before. As happens, we were earlier than expected and the plane was late, so I went searching for something to read. Mr Z was happy with playing games on the iPad. [Read more…]

First online book sale!

Book getting ready to be mailed

I’m just a little bit excited today. Overnight I had the first sale of Teapot Tales: a collection of unique fairy tales through the online shop on my website. I’ve sold a couple to friends since the printed copies arrived, but now I’ve had a sale through my website. It’s pretty exciting.

I’m about to sign and package it up ready to go to the post office when I’m going to pick up my son from school.

Hopefully this is the first of many sales. If you want a copy, click here.
