International Book Giving Day 2018

Happy International Book Giving Day!

I first discovered this wonderful day about five years ago. I immediately headed to a book shop to buy books to give to my sons and my nephews.

Last weekend, I had a lovely time in the bookshop choosing books for my kids as well as my five nephews. The books I chose are in the photo. Their ages are between 16 months and 16 years with a variety of interests and reading levels.

Some of these books, I read quickly before I passed them on. I had never read a Hey Jack book before, and I enjoyed it. I hope my 6 year old nephew enjoys it too. I also have one boy who doesn’t read much, so I purchased a You Choose book with an AFL theme for him. He loves his AFL and this book promises to be a good read.

One of the great joys of this day is spending time in the bookshop looking at all the new titles that have been released since the last time I browsed the shelves.

I can’t wait to hear how everyone enjoys their books, and I can’t wait to do this all again next year.
