If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you will already know that I enjoy a challenge to help me get my writing done!

There are many writing challenges out there. Regardless of what their focus is, the aim is to help you get words on the page and get your writing done. For some of us, this is what we need.

I know that I have a number of half finished manuscripts, challenges help to keep me focused to turn them into complete manuscripts.

As well as writing challenges, such as the Chapter Book Challenge, I also participate regularly in the Author Blog Challenge to keep me blogging, and this year I’m doing the PopSugar Reading Challenge to get me reading.

I don’t always “win” the challenges. I know that I’m not going to complete all 41 books in the reading challenge this year, but I have got more than half way and have read a number of books I wouldn’t have looked at if it wasn’t for the challenge. With the writing challenges, I know that even if I don’t reach my ultimate goal, I have still written more than I would have done if it wasn’t for the challenge in the first place.
