Carry Me Home – Book Launch

Carry Me Home

Carry Me Home

Last night, I had wonderful time at the book launch for the launch of Dorothy Adamek’s first book, Carry Me Home.

I met Dorothy online through a Facebook writer’s group, and met her face to face for the first time in 2012. She’s such a lovely person and I was so excited to be able to attend her launch (it was an added bonus that I had a child free night and was able to attend without having to rush home for the babysitter!).

At the appointed time, I headed off to Dorothy’s home for her launch. I had some wonderful conversations with some fellow authors as well as Dorothy’s friends and family before the speeches started.

Along with finding out a bit more about Dorothy’s book and journey ( you can read about it on her blog), wonderful words were shared by Paul Arnott and Rel Mollet, including some tips about spreading the word about Carry Me Home.

Before we knew it, it was time to buy our copies and get them signed. There was a long line of people waiting, and I was one of the first few in the line. It was exciting to see the first few people pick up piles of 5 and 4 books. I only had enough money to buy one book, but intend to buy some extra copies next year to give away as gifts.

As well as celebrating Dorothy’s book launch, it was wonderful to catch up with Amanda Deed and to meet Rel Mollet, both amazing women I have met through Facebook writer’s groups.

I can’t wait to start reading Carry Me Home, it sounds like an awesome book. I’m glad that, as of tomorrow, I’m on holidays for three and a half weeks, plenty of reading (and writing) time.

Before I share some photos, purchase your copy of Carry Me Home on Amazon.com
