ABC – Day 35 – Keeping up the momentum

Keep the momentum going

Keep the momentum going

What are you going to do to keep the blogging momentum going? What plans do you have to continue your connection with other Author Blog Challenge participants and the new readers you’ve generated for your blog?

Keeping a blog going can be challenging. Now that this challenge is over, assuming there are no bonus prompts, daily posts may not happen… but some of your favourite features will return, such as Friday Five. I am also working on new guidelines if anyone wants to send us a Friday Five guest post.

In the next week, I will be launching a crowdfunding campaign for my next book, so there will be a number of posts about the new book and the campaign. I’m still trying to work out if it’s practical or not… so you’ll get updates on this too.

My 13 year old has set me a challenge for writing a new book that is not part of the Green Oaks Primary School series, and I’m considering writing this during NaNoWriMo in November.

I hope that some of the new readers from the Author Blog Challenge have either subscribed to my blog, or liked my Facebook page to get updates of new blog posts. Any of you would be welcome to submit Friday Five posts, just keep an eye out for the new guidelines that will be up again soon.

I’ve had a lot of fun with the challenge this year and I hope you’ve enjoyed the posts too. If you want to discover some new author blogs, check out some of the other participants here.

  1. Day 290 for this year and counting.

When I’m out of words, as has often happened this year, I make pictures.

  2. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts, Melissa! Look forward to more.

  3. I admire you — you are a REAL writer. I guess I’d call myself a “wannabe.” I’ve written one book, a memoir, and everyone who reads it says it’s funny and wild (a bit like me.) However, I want to write novels (that are funny and wild) about my comedy barbershop quartet. Having written 35 blogs for this challenge, I now wonder if I can survive NaNoWriMo. I’m interested to know if you have participated in that activity before. And I’d love to meet you at Laura’s Meet-ups one day. Feel free to send me an e-mail … if you ever have a free moment!
