Books for non-readers

Some people don’t read…

My grandfather tells us he has never read a book in his life. We know that’s not quite true as he used to read to us when we were kids, but there are some people who don’t read.

Last week, I posted about books being great gifts for Christmas. You can read the post here.

What if you have people on your list who aren’t readers? You wouldn’t want to get them the latest best-selling novel, so what do you buy?

Here are some ideas:

  • Photo book – create a photo book of memories for your recipient. This will be extra special as it’s something you’ve created yourself.
  • Coffee Table book – if you don’t have the time or photographs to create a photo book, there are coffee table books full of amazing photos on a variety of different topics, you are sure to find one that will appeal
  • Joke book – Joke books can be a fun gift, and can provide entertainment on Christmas Day. You never know, the jokes may be better than the jokes in the Christmas crackers!
  • Cartoon book – we have given my grandfather books that have cartoons on specific topics – such as fishing or life on the farm.
  • Gift books – there is a huge variety of gift books with photographs or illustrations with inspiring or funny quotes. Again, they are on a wide range of topics, so you are sure to find one that fits

These are just a few ideas of books you can give to people who are not readers. If you have any more ideas, please add a comment below.
