Blog post #22 – What is in your “To Be Read” pile?

Your To Be Read pile

Welcome to the blog post prompt for this week. If you’re blogging along this week, or coming back another time to join in, please add your link in the comments so we can check out your blog too. If you add a link, please visit one or two of the other links and add a comment.

Most book lovers have a “To Be Read” pile consisting of books they’ve bought, been given as gifts, borrowed from the library, or picked up in other places. Even with eBooks, there are books piling up. There’s nothing wrong with a “To Be Read” pile, all it means is that we have more books than reading time.

In this blog post, share some of the titles in your “To Be Read” pile. Take a picture of it and let your readers know where the books came from and why they are in your pile. Depending on the size of your pile, you may want to choose the books that will be most interesting to your readers.

Some of the information you may want to include could be:

  • details of the book – who wrote it, what is is about
  • why you added it to your pile – was it a gift, what was it that prompted you to pick it up
  • do you have plans to read it – will you take it on your next holiday, do you like to read on the bus on your way to work, is it the next on your list to read while waiting to pick kids up from school

Once you’ve read some or all of these books, you could do a follow up post letting people know whether or not you enjoyed the books. You could also include links in case your readers would like to add these books to their “To Be Read” piles too.

If you are using this prompt on your blog, add your link in the comments. I look forward hearing finding out about your “To Be Read” piles.
