Chapter Book Challenge – Week 2 #ChaBooCha

Week 2 – ChaBooCha

It’s the end of week 2 of the Chapter Book Challenge – this means we’re at the half way point and things are still going well for my book.

On the challenge blog, there have been some more amazing blog posts and prizes. I still haven’t won a prize, but my wish list of craft books is growing with every post! One of the posts was by Julie Anne Grasso about Creating Convincing Villains. This was one of the sessions at the workshop we had on March 1.

I’m so excited to see so many Aussies on the Chapter Book Challenge blog. It just shows what great authors and books we create down here.

As far as my books goes, right now I think I only have one or two chapters left to write. The manuscript needs A LOT of work, especially in any of the football references. Mr N shakes his head whenever he reads it and says, “Oh, Mummy, you really don’t know anything about football do you?” He has a point – I don’t know much about football. I tell him that that is why I have him to edit the technical parts for me.

The story started out as one thing, but there have been some new themes emerge as the story goes on. It’s been quite exciting to see these develop.

I’m hoping to get this story done in the next couple of days and either start editing, or get on to writing the second book I have an idea for. I haven’t quite decided yet…

Here’s to another great week in this challenge.
