Blog Post #4 – Books you loved as a child

Favourite books as a child

Welcome to the blog post prompt for this week. If you’re blogging along this week, or coming back another time to join in, please add your link in the comments so we can check out your blog too. If you add a link, please visit one or two of the other links and add a comment.

This weeks post is particularly helpful if you’re a children’s author, however it could be used by anyone.

Share some of the books you loved as a child. You could share one or ten, or anything in between. As much as a 101 list would be fun, it’s also a lot of work and can also make for a very long blog post.

With each book, let your readers know what you loved about it. If possible, include a cover image so your readers know which book you are talking about. You could also include a link to an online shop, or an affiliate link, so your readers can add them to their collections too.

If any of these books have provided inspiration for your own writing or writing journey, add this to your post as well.

Depending on how many books you loved as a child, you could have this as a regular or semi-regular feature on your blog, even featuring different types of books – eg trains, dinosaurs, pirates, princesses, etc.

If you are using this prompt on your blog, add your link in the comments. I look forward to finding out what books you loved reading as a child.
