New Frontier Publishing

Author Submission Pack

A few weeks ago, I followed a link someone shared on Facebook to New Frontier Publishing. As I write picture books and chapter books, I checked them out.

They have a brilliant product that might be of interest to other authors out there – it’s called the Author Submission Pack. It’s $60 plus postage and includes three picture books and two chapter books. See the photo to see the books I received.

As well as the books, there is an explanation of each one.

The books are gorgeous, great quality and fun to read. I love “I Spy Mum“, it’s fun reading it to my nephews, aged 1 and 2.  The other picture books are also wonderful and my boys are enjoying them. I haven’t read the chapter books yet, just had a quick flick through.

From what I’ve seen so far, they look like the sort of publisher who would like the Jimmy James stories, especially with their interest in books with a historical focus.

Having the submission pack has given me a great snapshot of the sorts of books New Frontier Publishing publishes as well as the quality of their books.  This also helps me to know the sorts of books they publish so I know which manuscripts to submit to them, which is the point of  the submission pack.

If you want to find out more about New Frontier Publishing, go to http://newfrontier.com.au/ or join their Facebook Page.

As for me, I have some serious editing to do!

  1. Great pack of books Melissa and what a clever way to find out what a publisher is into…. good for you! Let us know how you get on. Thanks also for sharing Frontiers website.

  2. Thanks so much, Melissa, for the info about Frontier and how they are packaging books and appealing to authors who might want to submit to them. I’m sure it will be helpful for anyone who is on the verge of submitting to them…it is also a genius marketing vehicle that helps them sell books (not that there is anything wrong in that). I’m glad they are great books and wish you good luck in your revising.:)
I’ll be joining you in Alayne Christian’s Sub Six group and look forward to visiting your blog again.:)
