Prompt #9 – Turning Fiction to Non-Fiction

Cool pic of a gingerbread house to illustrate this post!

The 9th prompt for the Author Blog Challenge is:

If your book is fiction, how could you change it to make it a nonfiction book? If your book is nonfiction, what could you do to turn it into a story? Hollywood has done it, so how could you do the same thing?

For this prompt, I’m looking at the Accidental WAHM stories. In many ways, these stories are fictionalising my business blog posts by creating stories about work at home Mums and getting them to do some of the things I blogged about.

With these stories, I do want to have a non-fiction aspect to the stories, giving some business information alongside the stories. I’m still working out the best way to do this and am hoping an editor and/or publisher will show an interest and help this to develop… I know, wishful thinking.

I’m also writing a piece of non-fiction that is based on another blog I have written and this could be turned into fiction, in the same way as I have done with Accidental WAHM… could be another idea there (not that I need any more ideas!)
