Having a blog – this one!

Blogging for unpublished authors

After telling a friend about my Facebook post, I thought I’d follow up with a post about this blog.

I have been blogging for years. My first blogs no longer exist, but it is something I have been doing since before it became a popular thing to do – be a Mummy blogger. Although, to be fair, my topic was business tips for business mums instead of about parenting.

Last year, I created this blog as my “author blog”. I’m an unpublished author and my dream for years has been to change that status to published author.

One step was to create a following so people will know who I am. On this blog, I share my journey, snippets of my writing, ask for ideas and suggestions when I get stuck, and also observations on writing and publishing, and anything else related to my dream.

I have some amazing people reading this blog, adding their comments, thoughts and suggestions as well as encouragement on my journey.

Having a blog is also somewhere to send people to if they are interested in what I’m doing.

I am looking forward to the day when I can come on here and announce my first book is being published!

  1. A laudable reason to start a blog. Our 4 person critique group started Pen and Ink at the suggestion of member Kris Kahrs to create a web presence for ourselves. It is a wonderful journey and we, too have made some amazing friends. Check out our Pirate Aphabet video to see who helped us out with that piece of silliness.

The utube video has a link to the post on ow the Pirate Alphabet got started.

    • Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I’ll check out your video a bit later, it looks like it would have been a lot of fun 🙂

  2. I’m also looking forward to the day when you can tell me all about your published story. Writers need people to celebrate with, too. 🙂
